GR-530 Peco OO9 Gauge Glyn Valley Freelance 4 Wheel Brake Coach Without Buffers
Details
The G.V.T. was opened in 1872 but like other narrow gauge lines in the UK had a relatively short life closing in 1935. Their enclosed and open coaches were built by the Midland Railway Carriage and Wagon Co. Ltd. Shrewsbury in the 1890s surviving until the end. In fact two coaches lasted even longer reaching preservation on the Tallylyn Railway where they can be seen today. On the Tallylyn Railway the coaches were fitted with buffers (the G.V.T. had no use for these) and this version will be the subject of a forthcoming Peco release. Pecos models include some lovely detail such as the running boards and interior and the simple but attractive livery is neatly printed. Complete with standard OO-9 couplers and free-running wheels these ready-to-run models are ready-to-go!
