Watch the engineering prototypes in action in this vide, below:

Built in 1923, this industrial locomotive had a diverse career working at quarries, a brickworks, and chemical works before moving to the Kent & East Sussex Railway. Rapido Trains purchased the real engine in 2024 to preserve it on the railway where it spent the last 50 years.

The Rapido team has created one of the smallest 'OO' industrial steam locomotives ever, utilising a metal chassis, running boards, and boiler for weight, paired with injection-molded tanks and cab for crisp detail. Technical features include a coreless motor, flywheel, sprung pickups, and an E24 decoder socket for DCC sound.

The model range features significant tooling variations, including two tank styles, three types of whistles, and different cab/buffer configurations. There are 10 distinct livery versions, ranging from historical Peckett works colors to vibrant 'what-if' schemes.
