Arriving before Christmas: New NER 20T hopper wagons
Accurascale's new NER 20T hopper wagons – debuting in 'OO' – bridge the shift from small Victorian wood-built wagons to later steel-bodied hoppers, marking a key stage in mineral wagon modernisation.
As coal output surged in the North-East by the mid-19th century, the North Eastern Railway was overwhelmed by outdated Chaldron waggons. Costly and low-capacity, they were phased out from 1872 as the NER developed larger 8–10T hopper designs.
Due imminently, with some variants already sold-out on pre-order, secure the remaining variants of these hopper wagons, today!

Arriving before Christmas: New BR 13T five-plank UCV/OOV 'clayhoods'
BR built a total of 875 of these Cornish icons across several batches from 1954 until 1960. The 'Clayhoods' were built to complement and eventually replace the GWR Dia. O.13 clay wagons. Running in short branchline trains all the way up to 50 wagon block trains, this staple of the Cornish railway scene was replaced by the air-braked CDAs in 1988. With their distinctive staining from their transport of produce, they are ideal candidates for our model customisation! Assemble your rake by combining multiple packs using the link below...
