This week saw the delivery of two 'OO' rolling stock projects from Rapido Trains UK. Its LMS 20T Iron ore hoppers, and GWR 'Open C' wagons are in stock, with low quantities remaining owing to their popularity.

LMS 20T Iron ore hoppers

Built from the early 1920s to mid-1930s, LMS 20T iron ore hoppers were produced in several near-identical diagrams and used for a wide range of materials. Many were later modified, including lime conversions with covered roofs and 'greedy board' extensions under NCB ownership. Some served industrial and military lines, and several survive in preservation.

Rapido's model range captures these variations with multiple tooling options, including roofed and greedy board versions, plus metal bearings for smooth running. Models are now sold out with Rapido Trains, and we recommend securing your models below as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

£29.49 each. Explore the range to get yours here.

GWR Dia. O19 Open C 'Tube'

These all-new lengthy two-axle GWR Dia. O19 Open C ‘Tube’ wagons for 'OO' are now in stock. Originally introduced in 1914 as part of the Open C series, the O19 became the longest-produced variant and was widely used for carrying steel tubes, surviving into the BR era and travelling far beyond the Western Region.

Rapido's model range has fine detailing, with body tooling variations, separately fitted lashing rings, and metal bearings for smooth running. And, with all of these models now also sold-out with Rapido Trains, securing yours below if you missed out on a pre-order is highly-advised.

£30.54 each. Explore the range to get yours here.
