The InterCity 125 icon
The High Speed Train (HST) was introduced by British Rail in 1976, with the legendary Class 43 power cars built at Crewe by British Rail Engineering Limited. Capable of 125 mph in regular service, the HST transformed inter-city travel, cutting journey times and revitalising rail in the UK.

Set Features
Inspired by Hornby’s classic R.685 train set catalogue reference, this set includes a pair of Class 43 driving cars (one powered, one dummy) in BR blue & grey livery, Mk. 3 passenger coach, oval track loop and siding, buffer stop and controller with mains supply. The powered car has illuminated headlights for added realism.
