Pre-orders open for new Metcalfe chapel kit in 'N' and 'OO'
Metcalfe Models has announced a new addition to its popular scenic range with the forthcoming Little Cardleywick Chapel, set to be released in both N and OO gauge. The model forms part of the expanding “Little Cardleywick” series, which already includes other structures designed to work together within a cohesive layout setting. The new kit is expected to be released in late April 2026 and is available to pre-order now.
The chapel is based on a real prototype, drawing inspiration from Garsdale Head Chapel on the Settle & Carlisle line. This gives the model a clear grounding in British railway geography while retaining the flexibility of Metcalfe’s fictionalised range. As a result, it should integrate easily into a variety of layouts without being tied to a specific location.

As with other products from Metcalfe Models, the kit uses the company’s established pre-coloured card construction system, allowing modellers to assemble a detailed structure without the need for painting. Both N and OO gauge versions are planned, making the model accessible to a wide range of hobbyists.
The Little Cardleywick Chapel continues Metcalfe’s approach of offering ready-to-build structures that complement scenic layouts and railway settings. Its connection to a real-world building, combined with its place in the broader Cardleywick range, makes it a notable upcoming release for modellers looking to expand their layouts with characterful architecture.
