TMC statement regarding exclusive Heljan Mk. 2 coach project:

The Model Centre (TMC) would like to provide an update regarding the announced exclusive BR Mk. 2 coach project in partnership with Heljan.

Under new terms and conditions set by Accurascale, we have had to review the project to assess its viability. As part of this review, some significant changes to the original agreement were noted. These include:

  • A substantial extension to the production timetable
  • An increase in overall project costs of almost 20%
  • A revised payment structure, differing from previous Heljan arrangements

Collectively, these changes have altered the commercial framework under which the project was initially agreed, resulting in a significantly increased level of financial risk.

After careful consideration of these new factors, TMC has regrettably taken the decision not to proceed with the project under the revised terms. All associated product listings have been removed from our website, and customers who placed pre-orders will be contacted directly, with existing pre-orders cancelled.

We recognise that this is disappointing news for those who were looking forward to these models – including ourselves, but rest assured, TMC remains committed to bringing new and exciting products to the market, where viable conditions allow.
