Maritime Class 66 'N' exclusives revealed in new TMC partnership
We’re delighted to announce an exciting new range of N gauge exclusive locomotives, produced in partnership with Revolution Trains and Rainbow Railways. For the first time, the entire fleet of DB Cargo UK’s distinctive blue Maritime Intermodal Class 66s will be available as finely detailed N gauge models.
These striking locomotives stand apart from the standard DB red fleet and have become firm favourites with photographers, spotters and modellers alike. Now, they can take centre stage on your modern-image layout.
The magnificant seven: DB's Maritime Fleet
This new release covers all seven locomotives to carry the Maritime Intermodal branding. Each model is produced as a strictly limited edition and supplied with separate detailing parts and photo‑etched nameplates.
The seven locomotives are:
- 66005 – Maritime Intermodal One
- 66047 – Maritime Intermodal Two
- 66142 – Maritime Intermodal Three
- 66051 – Maritime Intermodal Four
- 66162 – Maritime Intermodal Five
- 66090 – Maritime Intermodal Six
- 66148 – Maritime Intermodal Seven
Together, they recreate the complete DB Maritime Class 66 fleet, making this release especially appealing to collectors and modellers seeking accuracy and completeness.

Bringing modern freight to life
Commenting on the announcement, Howard Smith of TMC said:
“Through this low‑number collaboration with Rainbow Railways and Revolution Trains, we’re bringing exclusivity to N gauge collectors. With Revolution’s Class 66 platform already a proven success, it was the obvious choice for these strictly limited‑edition models.
“The DB Maritime‑liveried Class 66s represent one of the few non‑standard DB Cargo UK colour schemes. Painted blue for Maritime Intermodal services, they work high‑profile container traffic from ports such as Felixstowe, Southampton and DP World London Gateway to key inland terminals.
“Only a small number of locomotives ever received the Maritime branding, making them visually distinctive on today’s railway. At the head of long rakes of container flats, they bring much‑requested realism and variety to contemporary N gauge layouts.”
Ben Ando of Revolution Trains added:
“Since the first Class 66 models reached customers during summer 2024, the response has been fantastic. The model offers class‑leading performance, extensive detail variations and highly popular DCC sound options. This Maritime Intermodal series is a great showcase for what the platform can do.”
