🛠️ About the prototype

Originally built as a 0-4-0ST for the Penrhyn Quarry Railway, ‘Blanche’ was acquired by the Ffestiniog Railway in 1963. It was later rebuilt as a 2-4-0 Saddle Tank with Tender (2-4-0STT), fitted with piston valve cylinders, and returned to coal firing in 2014. This model captures that final form in exquisite detail.
