New rolling stock arrivals from Bachmann this week provide great additions for the 1960s to 1990s era. The BSOT (39‑804) and RBR (39‑855 / 39‑856) variants use new tooling, meaning more prototypes are now modelled more accurately. Details like removal of end steps, roof periscopes, correct bogie types (BR1 or Commonwealth) make them period-correct representations.
Blue & grey and ScotRail green & cream are joined by InterCity Executive & Charter (Swallow), allowing modellers and collectors to build distinctive rakes that reflect British Rail history.
