Graham Farish reveals new Class 20/0s for 'N'
Graham Farish has revealed the latest evolution of a true British diesel classic, as new and upgraded Class 20/0 locomotives are revealed for 'N' from Graham Farish.
Revealed for the London Festival of Railway Modelling at Alexandra Palace, enthusiasts can see these exciting new releases in person this weekend at the show, hosted at the iconic Alexandra Palace.
New tooling for greater accuracy
This updated Class 20/0 range introduces brand-new tooling designed to reflect locomotives built for the Scottish Region. These prototypes were distinguished by their larger cab side windows and recessed bodysides, allowing for the fitting of tablet catchers.
To accurately capture these features, an all-new bodyshell has been developed by Graham Farish, bringing a higher level of authenticity to N scale modellers than ever before.
Next-generation performance
Alongside the new bodyshell, the Class 20/0 also benefits from a completely redesigned chassis.
Key upgrades include:
- Next18 DCC decoder interface
- Pre-fitted speaker
- Smooth, reliable running performance
For the first time, this means sound-fitted Class 20s are now available in N scale, marking a major step forward for digital modellers.
First releases: Scottish prototypes
The initial releases focus on locomotives originally allocated to Scotland, covering a range of classic liveries: BR green, BR blue and Railfreight.
These models offer an ideal addition for modellers recreating late steam and early diesel eras through to more modern freight operations.
