A LITTLE HELP TO GET STARTED How to assemble your Metcalfe card kitOne of the joys of Metcalfe kits is turning a few printed card sheets into a realistic building. You don't need a huge toolkit — just a little patience, a sharp craft knife, a ruler and a suitable card glue. 1. Prepare: Read the instructions, identify the parts and carefully cut them out on a cutting mat. 2. Fold: Lightly score fold lines with a blunt tool and ruler for neat, crisp corners. Take care not to cut through the card. 3. Glue: Test-fit before fixing, then apply a small amount of card glue to the tabs and press together gently. Allow each section to set before moving on. 4. Finish: Assemble the roof, doors, windows and details, then add the finished building to your layout. A touch of weathering and surrounding scenery makes all the difference.
