Bachmann has unveiled its Spring 2026 British Railway Announcements, revealing a strong line-up of brand-new models and tooling across its Branchline, Graham Farish, EFE Rail, EFE Road and Scenecraft ranges. Here's our summary of the headline announcements...

EFE Rail – N gauge

The headline announcement is the first-ever N gauge model of the Class 23 'Baby Deltic'. Produced to modern standards, the model features directional lighting, a Next18 DCC decoder socket and space for a speaker. Two body styles are included, covering both as-built locomotives with disc headcodes and later modified examples with central headcode boxes, with liveries spanning the class’s full service life.

Bachmann Branchline 'OO'

An all-new LMS 4-6-0 'Jubilee' joins the Branchline range, depicting later-built locomotives with sloping firebox throatplates and longer fireboxes. The new tooling includes firebox lighting and Plux22 DCC compatibility, with versions covering LMS, BR and preserved examples, including No. 45596 Bahamas.

The Eastern Express features V2 Class No. 60800 Green Arrow and is available in standard or DCC On Board formats.

The Suburban Sulzer includes a Class 25 diesel locomotive with an optional Sound Fitted version. Selected sets include the new Kinesis GO! DCC Base Station, allowing app-based digital control.

EFE Rail 'OO'

New 54ft non-corridor coaches are introduced as individual vehicles, based on the Isle of Wight coach tooling. Third, Composite and Brake Third coaches will be available in a selection of pre-grouping liveries including Lined Teak, LBSCR Raw Umber, S&DJR Lined Blue and CR Plum & Off-White.

EFE Road 1:76 scale

The Leyland Atlantean open-top 'Sea Dogs' return with new tooling variants depicting both its original Devon General operation and later National Bus Company use.
