Arriving this month: TMC 'BZ' van exclusives
We're excited to welcome our all-new BR 'BZ' vans for 'OO' this month. Tooled exclusively for us by EFE Rail, these highly-anticipated six-wheel brake and luggage vans are being lapped-up by customers, such is their versatility. At long-last, British Railways' most distinctive and underrepresented parcels vans will be available in ready-to-run format for 4mm:1ft scale layouts.
Designed to accurately reproduce the infamous BR Diagram 358 six-wheel vans given the telegraphic code 'BZ', these models combine exceptional detail, smooth running characteristics, and a number of authentic BR liveries spanning the working lives of the prototype vehicles.

We're guaranteeing smooth operation of these vehicles on correctly-laid track with second-radius curves or greater.
The result is a range of models that look superb both on display and in operation.

The best-selling model? E70654E, as now preserved at the Great Central Railway.
Life-like realism through our optional weathering
For modellers seeking maximum authenticity, our market-leading customisation team offers optional weathering and finishing services. The BR 'BZ' vans being non-passenger carrying coaching stock were seldom cleaned, being treated much the same way as freight stock. Often, the only time these vehicles were 'washed' was when it rained! Destination markings and goods carried were often scribbled with a hand into the dirt on the sides of these vans if not with chalk.
On checkout, select how you'd like your van to appear by leaving us your customisation notes. Choose from:
- Light service weathering
- Medium operational grime
- Heavy parcels train weathering
- Custom chalk markings
- Destination labels
- Vehicle-specific detailing
These enhancements will transform your beautiful factory-fresh model into a true hard-working parcels van that looks right at home behind some of your favourite locomotives.

There's charm in the mundane – it was the backbone of the railway. And, a less-glamourous van you'll struggle to find, particularly in BR blue... make yours even more workaday with our leading customisation service! Get yours, now

The BR 'BZ' van was a common sight across the network, often running alongside CCTs, GUVs, BGs and other parcels stock, with one example surviving into the 1980s in non-common use. Their distinctive six-wheel design makes them an eye-catching addition to any train and a welcome alternative to more commonly modelled vehicles.
If you want to guarantee your preferred running numbers and liveries, now is the time to place your pre-order. Secure your vans today and bring a unique chapter of British railway history to your layout.
