Accurascale has announced an exciting new range addition to its ever-growing OO collection with models of the Class 08 and Class 10 shunters. This comprehensive programme covers the full working life of the class, offering something for modellers of every era - from the late-steam period right through to the present day. Delivery for the complete range is expected in early 2027.

The range includes the cut-down Class 08/9s and the Class 10, alongside many of the most recognisable and best-loved liveries worn by the Class 08 throughout its long career. From classic BR blue to modern Freightliner variations and other distinctive schemes, the selection provides broad appeal whether you model the transition era, the BR sector years or modern-day operations.

Accurascale has now revealed first samples, showcasing the level of detail and accuracy modellers have come to expect. Each version is available in DCC-ready and DCC sound-fitted formats, giving customers flexibility to match their layout requirements. 

 

The Class 08 is one of the most iconic locomotives ever to run on Britain’s railways, and this new collection looks set to become a highlight of many layouts. With such extensive livery coverage and multiple variants represented, the announcement has already generated strong interest across the hobby.
