Z6280 Zvezda 1:100 Scale British Infantry Tank Valentine II
Details
The Mark II version of the Valentine infantry tank was armed with the proven QF-2 pounder 40mm gun. Under different Marks, over 8,000 vehicles were produced from 1940 to 1944. The British used it mainly in the North African campaign against the Germans, while over 3,000 Valentines of various types were received by the USSR. In September 1941, the first Valentine Mk. II tanks were sent by sea with Northern convoys to help the Red Army fighting the Germans under the Lend-Lease Treaty. At the end of November 1941, Soviet battalions equipped with these tanks went into battle, and the last use of the Soviet Valentines was in 1945 against the Japanese in Manchuria.
