In the mid 20th century the UK railway network was used to transport a large number of horses, mainly to transport them between race meetings but also the movement of private horses, circuses and military. This example is a Bertram Mills Circus Horsebox that would have been used by the Bertram Mils Circus that was famous for its Christmas shows performed at Olympia in West London.
