Introduced as the ‘Y14’ Class for both freight and passenger work on the Great Eastern Railway, a total of 289 of these versatile 0-6-0s were built between 1883 and 1913, with all but 19 emerging from Stratford Works in East London. It was one of a batch of ten completed 1912, entering service in March that year as No. 567. From 1924 it was renumbered 7567 as part of its J15 Class. The LNER had a major renumbering scheme in 1946 when the locomotive became No. 5465, then finished its career under BR as No. 65465 in September 1962.
