NR-76P Peco N Gauge Tank Wagon 15ft WB Fina Motor Spirit No. 4
Details
The tank body is coloured silver and the sole bars in red, with additional red/yellow detail on the Timken roller bearing covers.
Fina, or more accurately, Petrofina, was a Belgian-owned oil company that used “Fina” as it marketing name. Trading started in the UK in 1948 and remained as such until 2000 when Fina, Total and Elf all merged. The wagon represented here was built in 1959, one of just 4 manufactured in the series. Rated at 35 tons GLW. Its livery is attractive and authentic and will bring a bit of brightness to a layout set in the 1960s/70s period.
