Details
‘Bassett’ | Industrial
Originally no. 19 when fresh from Horwich, this engine was an early escapee to private ownership. It was withdrawn from the LMS in 1931 and initially worked for construction company John Mowlem & Co (who named it ‘Bassett’) on a project to extend Southampton docks. But in 1935 it was on the move again and became Prince.
